NPTC | City & Guilds | Arboriculture Training Courses
Tree climbing is something that the majority of arborists will undertake at some point, and probably the most rewarding part too. Learning to tree climb is one of the most physically demanding qualifications, and a head for heights is essential!
Becoming an efficient climbing arborist definitely takes time, commitment and dedication, also listening and learning from others around you. The Tree Climbing and Rescue course will give you the practical principles you need to get started.
In practice, tree climbing will vary greatly from day to day, depending on the job, the type of tree, the equipment you are armed with, the environment plus weather conditions too. These different situations require varying degrees of skill, so knowledge and training to incorporate various techniques and safe, efficient working systems is essential.
The Tree Climbing and Rescue course addresses the importance of health and safety for yourself, others and the environment. We also cover aerial rescue operations, which involves bringing a casualty out of the tree or off of a pole safely.
