What is the Different Between a Tree Surgeon and an Arborist?
What is a Tree Surgeon?
A skilled Tree Surgeon provides general tree care, experienced in maintaining trees from removing stumps, pruning, felling and site clearance. As trees and plants need to be cut down in a particular way to ensure the safety and protection of the tree and their surroundings, Tree Surgeons often perform complex and dangerous tasks, requiring both precision and professionalism.
What is an Arborist?
For more advanced tree care or biological issues, arborists have the knowledge, qualifications, and skills to diagnose and offer solutions.
Arborists are trained professionals who are able to check the symptoms and provide advice, whether it is recommendations to what trees are most suitable in the conditions available, or accurately identify diseases in a tree and providing impartial suggestions.
Arborists are knowledgeable in the art and science of tree care through experience and qualifications. Certified Arborists are more likely to be up-to-date on the latest arboriculture techniques and are fully insured.
Depending on your needs, both Tree Surgeon and Arborists have specialist skills. A Tree Surgeon is crucial if you wish to undertake any projects that require removal, especially if a chainsaw is needed. Tree Surgeons don’t require formal education however many have extensive training and experience. An arborist must have the necessary qualifications and certifications to claim the job title.
